CVE-2025-5419
Out of bounds read and write in V8 in Google Chrome prior to 137.0.7151.68 allowed a remote attacker to potentially exploit heap corruption via a crafted HTML page. (Chromium security severity: High)
do firstApply mitigations per vendor instructions, follow applicable BOD 22-01 guidance for cloud services, or discontinue use of the product if mitigations are unavailable.
Can a WAF block it? No. The attack is delivered via a crafted HTML page loaded in the browser, which looks like normal web content. The malicious input is embedded in the page's code and does not contain unusual or easily distinguishable patterns that a web application firewall could reliably block without affecting legitimate users.

As published in the CVE Program record. A version outside these ranges is not a statement that it is unaffected — vendors sometimes understate a range, and distribution-backported builds carry upstream numbers that do not reflect what was patched into them.
