do firstApply mitigations per vendor instructions, follow applicable BOD 22-01 guidance for cloud services, or discontinue use of the product if mitigations are unavailable.
Can a WAF block it? No. The vulnerability is triggered by processing a maliciously crafted photo or video shared via an iCloud Link, which is not an HTTP request but a specialized sharing mechanism. Because the attack involves a crafted media file rather than a typical web request, a web application firewall cannot reliably distinguish malicious from normal traffic.
