CVE-2020-25078
An issue was discovered on D-Link DCS-2530L before 1.06.01 Hotfix and DCS-2670L through 2.02 devices. The unauthenticated /config/getuser endpoint allows for remote administrator password disclosure.
do firstApply mitigations per vendor instructions, follow applicable BOD 22-01 guidance for cloud services, or discontinue use of the product if mitigations are unavailable.
Can a WAF block it? Partly. The vulnerability is triggered by unauthenticated HTTP requests to a specific endpoint that discloses administrator passwords. A WAF can block or monitor requests to this endpoint that do not come from authorized users. A WAF rule can match requests to the /config/getuser endpoint without authentication. No tracked WAF vendor has published a rule for this CVE yet, so you would write it yourself.
What a custom rule would match: requests to the /config/getuser endpoint without authentication
